Look for a sign….

It's a new name, for a new time…in an old neighborhood… You know Nick and Sylvia. They've been the owners of the liquor store on Cleveland near Pier View Way for 16 years. But it's not just a liquor store anymore. It's got a new name, a new sign and a new look. It's now "Pier View Market." The grocery section is bigger. They also carry bait, beach accessories and toys. Sylvia originally hung live plants to warm the atmosphere of the large store. The customers wanted to buy them, so now they also sell plants. Her ferns and orchids are beautiful. A pair of brightly colored clown marionettes enhances the new window decor. They still carry a very nice selection of beer, wine and spirits.

But, according to Sylvia "the idea to expand the grocery section came from the changes in the neighborhood. The boom in building in the area with all the town homes and the future time-shares called for more market items. The rising cost of gasoline means people want to walk to the store for some of their grocery needs. The people frequenting the beach need a place to buy soda, chips, suntan lotion and that forgotten towel, beach ball or football." Pier View Market is a prime example of how businesses need to change to keep up with the times. Look around, does your business attract our new neighbors? Do you offer something that our growing customer base wants? Nick and Sylvia looked and saw the need for a friendly, clean, family oriented store. Next time you need cereal, go to Pier View Market, only $4.99 for any two boxes!
