Will Faeber grew up
fifty miles from Nashville and had his first record deal
there at the age of sixteen. You can still hear the
Nashville influence in his voice but his music grew to
include elements of Jazz, Rock, Blues and Pop. He is often
compared to Van Morrison, Boz Scaggs and Lyle Lovett for
his vocal style and Ray Charles for his virtuosity on the
piano. His first collection of songs for Topless Records,
“No Small Comfort,” was released in Europe and
was an immediate hit. Dave Allen of the BBC called it,
“one of the best of the year.” Will and his
band toured England and Europe for three years. They were
headliners at large outdoor events like the Jacksonville
Festival and twice played London’s Wembley Arena.
Since then, tracks from the CD have been used in feature
films, choreographed for dance, used on US Air’s In
Flight Music Programs and covered in Nashville.
Will Faeber’s new release, “Travel By
Stars,” is already taking off on radio, getting great
reviews and has been chosen by Line Dance King Max Perry
for choreography. The CD was recorded in San Diego with
some of today’s hottest musicians, including well
known jazz guitarist Peter Sprague, who has played with
just about everybody, including Chick Corea. Also on the CD
is Sprague’s brother Tripp on sax, Bob Magnuson on
bass, Barnaby Finch, long time music director for Lionel
Richie on keyboards, six string wizard John DePatie from
Nancy Sinatra’s band on electric guitar, Duncan Moore
on drums and background vocals by Robbyn Kirmsse who has
toured with Celine Dion.
