The Oceanside Police
Department has released the
following Traffic Plan for the June 30 - July 4
weekend:
Traffic Flow Plan
for the Fourth of July Weekend 2007
During the Street Fair on July
3 & 4, 2007, the traffic westbound on Mission Avenue
will be diverted to north & southbound Coast Highway.
The section of Mission Avenue from Coast Hwy to Pacific
Street will be closed for the Street Fair.
To enter the beach area, it is suggested motorist use
Wisconsin Street and Surfrider Way.
The street fair will encompass Mission Avenue west to
Pacific Street, Pacific Street from Seagaze north to Civic
Center, and Myers Street from Seagaze to Civic Center.
Motorist should seek alternate routes around the street
fair during the Fourth of July weekend.
There will be no traffic allowed north of Seagaze while on
Myers and Pacific. Traffic traveling north on Pacific will
be diverted onto Tyson Street where they will travel north
on Myers, west on Seagaze and south on Pacific Street.
Traffic traveling south on Pacific at Surfrider will be
diverted east or west on Surfrider.
This traffic flow pattern will be in effect on Monday &
Tuesday July 3 & 4, 2007.
On Saturday June 30, 2007, the area along Coast Highway
between Oceanside Boulevard and Surfrider Way will be
closed for the annual Fourth of July Parade. Traffic will
be closed one block east and west of Coast Highway for the
event, between Oceanside Boulevard and Surfrider Way.
Mission Avenue will be closed to east and west bound
traffic between Ditmar Street and Tremont Street. Motorists
are encouraged to seek alternate routes around the event.
